Citelighter is an online academic research tool that is committed to helping students and professionals everywhere. We want you to view research as a fun process where you focus your intellectual brainpower on finding the most useful facts rather than repetitive tasks, which we aim automate. In addition to providing you with tools to help you research and write your papers, we want to make ‘social research’ a mainstay and will be utilizing your information to help others benefit as much from your hard work as you do from theirs. As we become more sophisticated, we will allow users to choose their level of participation within ‘social research’; however, in its current form all users will have the default settings. We will not sell or provide any private information to third parties as it will be utilized to solely provide additional value back to the Citelighter user community.
Citelighter collects all highlighted content, papers names, comments, and dates within ′My Project′ and ′View′ pages to determine how and what information will be relevant to other users.
Citelighter saves all your information online in a private account so you may access it from anywhere.

Citelighter only collect information that you highlight and will NOT track your movement and sites visited across the web unless you abstract information via the ′Capture′ button.
Citelighter will NEVER let another user know your identity when informing them of other useful facts.
If you choose to download the Citelighter toolbar you will be allowed to create a personal profile where you store content and personal comments. We will NOT provide any comments written by you to other users when making recommendations.
If you choose to publish a fact or paper to a social media platform such as Facebook or Twitter, we are simply providing you with a platform and you are responsible for anything that you publish.
Citelighter may use aggregated user information to determine what improvements should be made in order to improve user’s experience.
