Alessandro di Mariano di Vanni Filipepi, better known as Sandro Botticelli (Italian pronunciation: [ˈsandro botːiˈtʃɛlːi]) (c. 1445[1] – May 17, 1510) was an Italian painter of the Early Renaissance.
