The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) conserves and manages Kenya’s wildlife for the Kenyan people and the world. It is a state corporation established by an Act of Parliament Cap 376 with the mandate to conserve and manage wildlife in Kenya, and to enforce related laws and regulations.

Pursuant to section 30 of the Constitution, the Parliament of Kenya consists of the President and the National Assembly. The National Assembly, pursuant to section 31 of the Constitution, consists of Elected and Nominated Members; who are currently 210 and 12 respectively. In the exercise of the legislative power of the Republic of Kenya, bills are passed by the National Assembly and become law on the President giving his assent, thus becoming styled, Acts of Parliament.
